Chelsea’s recent emphatic 6-2 victory over Wolves has not only showcased the team’s attacking prowess but also etched manager Enzo Maresca into Premier League history.

Just days after Chelsea‘s win against Servette in the Conference League qualifiers, the team continued their impressive form with a commanding 6-2 triumph over Wolves at Molineux.

With this victory, Enzo Maresca has become the first manager in Premier League history to guide his team to a 6-goal performance in their first away match of the season.

On a stellar day at Molineux, Maresca’s Chelsea side delivered an explosive performance. They took the lead as early as the 2nd minute with a goal from Nicolas Jackson, followed by a hat-trick from Noni Madueke and additional goals from Cole Palmer and new signing Joao Felix.

Notably, Palmer was the key creator for Madueke’s hat-trick. Prior to this, only four players had achieved this feat in a Premier League match: Newell (1995), Collymore (1995), Thierry Henry (2003), and Harry Kane (2020).

Scoring one goal and providing three assists against Wolves, Palmer has now been involved in 34 goals in 35 Premier League matches for Chelsea. His performance underscores why Chelsea rewarded him with a substantial new contract extending over nine years.
