“Selling McTominay to Napoli is a Gamble”

Former center-back Rio Ferdinand commented on Manchester United‘s potential sale of Scott McTominay. According to reports, the “Red Devils” have reached an agreement to transfer McTominay to Napoli for £25 million.

Ferdinand stated: “Not every player can become a star, but to win titles, you need players like John O’Shea, Wes Brown, Darren Fletcher, or Julian Alvarez when he was at Man City. They might not start every game, but they are valuable. You need players like that, especially those who came through the club’s youth system.

To replace McTominay, you would need to spend £30 million or £40 million on a new player, and pay them £150,000 a week. That is not cheap and is a gamble; you don’t know what you will get. With McTominay, you know exactly what you will get. He might not always be a 9/10, but he is certainly a 7/10, and sometimes an 8/10.”

Neymar is currently sidelined with a ligament injury since October last year, and his return date remains uncertain. The 1992-born superstar is in the final year of his contract with Al Hilal.

Former Chelsea Star Reconciles with Nicolas Jackson

After Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City, former midfielder John Obi Mikel criticized striker Nicolas Jackson, saying: “You need a striker who knows how to put the ball in the net, and that’s something we don’t have.” In response, after scoring once and assisting once in Chelsea’s 6-2 victory over Wolves, Nicolas Jackson bluntly retorted, “Shut up.”

Recently, on talkSPORT, Obi Mikel unexpectedly made amends with Jackson: “I actually like this guy. I’m not saying he’s a bad player, but he needs to improve his finishing. If he scores every week and tells me to shut up, I will accept that.”
