“Sterling Is Better Than Anyone in Manchester United’s Attack”

In an interview with Sky Sports, former Watford striker Troy Deeney suggested that Raheem Sterling would be a significant upgrade for Manchester United‘s attack.

The Chelsea winger has fallen out of favor at Stamford Bridge and is seeking a new destination before the summer transfer window closes, with Manchester United emerging as a potential option.

Currently, Chelsea is working to move Sterling to Old Trafford in exchange for Jadon Sancho. Negotiations between the 29-year-old and Manchester United are ongoing, but a final decision has yet to be made.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Deeney discussed how Sterling could positively impact the Red Devils’ lineup. The former Watford forward said, “Sterling is better than anyone in Manchester United’s attack. That’s true.

Right now, he would bring more to the team than what Marcus Rashford is providing. Sterling could offer more leadership to players like Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo. Those players would look at Raheem, see his achievements with Manchester City, what he did at Liverpool, and on the international stage, and think, ‘I can definitely learn from him.’
